Apartment Review for Windrift - Oceanside, CA

Do not move here. The place is filled with low-level military who act as if they were raised by animals, not humans. They have no respect for others. I have seen military people walk their dogs and let them defecate in front of other residents' apartments and on the sidewalks, and they don't pick up after them. They play music loudly all through the evening and the night. Cars drive through the complex at all hours of the night with the bass thumping so loudly it wakes people up. I've heard one military wife, drugged and drunk, yell at another resident to shut up and take a sleeping pill when the other resident asked them to keep the noise down at 2 am. The management sends announcements on a regular basis about auto thefts and vandalism. I saw a would-be thief sneaking into the complex through a space pushed open in the wrought-iron fence. When he saw me, he ran away. Most of the residents I've personally encountered are drug addicts by their own admission. The management treats complaints with derision and contempt. The building materials are the cheapest available, and when they wear out, the management expects the resident to pay for them upon move out. This place is a dump in every sense.
