Apartment Review for River Oaks Apartments - Oceanside, CA

I have been living here for a year now, and the security patrol is non existent. we have called them numerous times for reasons such as noise, parking, and wierd suspicious people. but the security never shows up. so we end up calling the police. The kitchen and bathrooms and apartment in general needs some updating. everything is quite small and compact. there is constant changes to the apartment policies. such as allowing pets, then not allowing pets and changing the security number. we never have the right number. Lots of little kids who stay up late and make lots of noise when you want to sleep. maintenance personell work on weekend mornings(loud weed wacking, leaf blowers, remodeling work, trucks backing in with the loud beeping, and more loud noises). When I did need my toilet fixed, they came and fixed it within 2 hours. There are a few grass places to take pets(but that doesn't matter now, no pets allowed now.) Not a lot of crime though. a few occasions of tire slashing on the parked cars on the street. Parking is assigned. one spot and a garage spot. but your assigned spot is about 100 yards from your front door. the garage is pretty close though. The staff is nice enough. They don't go above and beyond or anythingbut nice and easy to deal with. A few tenants animals roam freely.(They gave my dogs fleas) The place is quite close to shopping and everything in oceanside. Only a fifteen minute drive to the back gate of pendleton. Overall this place is okay. Not the greatest, but not the worst. Kinda small for the two of us and two small dogs, but overall, not bad
