Apartment Review for Island Club Apartments - Oceanside, CA

and I respect the fact that I live here. I don't deal drugs, I don't trash my surroundings. In fact I keep my apartment cleaner then the people that pay full price/party all the time and there are more of us then the ilk of which some on here have pigeonholed the low income. As for the gov't paying for the priviledge of us indigents to live here, please research this...its called bonding. Certain apartments are bonded which gives the property a TAX BREAK and those apartments are NOT full price and they have a certain amount available to receive this and that is relatively FEW in relation to the overall community size. We are heavily in the minority. This is a beautiful community and the staff will work with you on anything. They are friendly, helpful, fair and listen. If one follows the rules then there should be no problem. I have lived here 9 years and I know others that have lived here 22 years. That says something right there. Its clean, updated, and maintained quite well. A beautiful community worth the price. Maintenance is prompt and solves the problem first go round. They are friendly and professional. The apartments are smallish but they have nice floorplans considering that. As for the dogs being here, yes there are people here who bend the rules on what breeds/picking up doggy doo-doo and its disrespectful to everyone else that lives here and does pick theirs up. As with anywhere or anyone, there are those that just cant follow the rules. You will find them in the most exclusive and high end communities around to the lowest of the low crime ridden neighborhoods. My only complaint is the kids in the jacuzzi's. Can people not read the signs? Hello DIAPERS!! Its disgusting and more importantly its not healthy for their children. Their little bodies are overheated. If I get in and turn on the jets I get dirty looks and comments. Hey, its a jacuzzi for 14 and over not a wading pool for toddlers. Like I said, its all about following the rules. If you follow em there is no problem. This community is large, and well maintained. I highly recommend it for everyone. One request, just follow the rules and everyone can live harmoniously. If you feel you cant, perhaps you can find a community whose rules fit your needs. Thanks Aimco for doing such a great job.
