Apartment Review for Island Club Apartments - Oceanside, CA

If you just need a place to squat for a lease term then this is your place. We have lived here for three months and already had to report noise disturbances and pet distrubances on all neighbors repeaatedly. Walls so thin we can almost hear the neighbors think. When their ac system downtairs runs our floor upstairs gets hot. The AC system is from the 60's or older, not efficient wastes vasts amount of energy. Had to have every electrical outlet replced in order to utilize outlets saftely. Have had three service attempts on the ac system with no repairs made, they just look at it and say something in spanish. Upon self inspection the ac system was not even attached to the ventilation it was two inches from the opening with duct tape falling off. Replaced by myself to increase efficieny to like 25% what i expect when i hear central air. The only room that gets cooled is master bedroom and front of living room. Granted one reserved spot, the rest is first come first serve... good luck on that one our downstairs neighbor has four reservered spots for four different cars...don't ask i don't know how it happens. Was told they have security patrol... what patroll a donught rolling by? Never seen one security patrol, last three weeks i have seen three cop cars during daytime doing something with residents down the way from our residence. This is worse than the 2 floor apartment in North carolina i rented that had duct tape floors and fleas. I would not even consider renting from this place, we are working the contract trying to find a way out before our lease is up so we can move into some livable housing.
