Apartment Review for Canyon Club Apartments - Oceanside, CA

DO NOT RENT HERE! Save yourself and believe all the bad reviews! They are all terrifyingly accurate! I wish there was an option with no stars because this place deserves a less than poor rating! Honestly, I am not even sure why there are any good reviews on here at all.. I wouldnt be surprised if its the staff writing the very few good reviews that there are! They are "surprisingly" opposite of the rest of the reviews on here.. hmmm Our 1 1/2 years of living here was less than decent. Weekends are extremely noisy, and the staff is completely uneducated. They are unprofessional and rude. They may seem friendly when you first meet them, but beware! They have no idea what they are doing, and have NO authority to promise you any of what they are offering about the apartments. The one person who claims to be the manager is NEVER there and when you actually CAN get a hold of her, she is appallingly incompetent and unhelpful! We recently moved out of Canyon Club. We are both very clean people and we left the apartment in better condition than when we moved in. We got NONE of our deposit back and they charged us an EXTRA $100 as well. $150 was just for cleaning, which appearantly they charge everyone when they move out! I accidently paid at the beginning of the month as well as the prorated amount when we left and they took the extra $150 right out of the extra check without sending it back and billing us instead!! We are furious and they will do nothing about it. Needless to say, you will not get your deposit back and then some! So, for those of you still living at Canyon Club, make sure you know all this ahead of time and dont pay your last rent amount until you get your deposit back! THINK TWICE BEFORE LIVING HERE! I didnt check reviews before we moved in and I kick myself now wishing I had. They say they are military friendly, but I can tell you from experience, they are NOT!
